00:21We were called here because on 1st July,

00:25the CM was supposed to be in Jalandhar

00:29in a hotel in Jalandhar.

00:32The transport workers were asked to

00:35prepare a special policy for them

00:38within a month.

00:40They were given permission by the Cabinet

00:43to implement it.

00:45All the transport workers,

00:48who were unemployed,

00:51would get some benefit.

00:53The contractors would be regular,

00:55the outsourcers would be on contract.

00:57Their salaries would be equal.

01:00But the transport workers,

01:03who have been unemployed for 6 months,

01:06were ignored.

01:08About a month and a half ago,

01:11the government gave a press conference

01:14to the notary public.

01:16They were asked why their demands

01:18were not being fulfilled.

01:20But still, the government ignored them.

01:23On 2nd January, the transport workers

01:26were called to the meeting in Punjab.

01:29Almost all the transport workers

01:32from Punjab, Punjab Road, Japan Bus,

01:35P.R.T.C. and all the unions participated.

01:38But no action was taken against

01:41our union workers.

01:43We are the largest group of transport workers

01:46in Punjab.

01:487-8,000 people belong to this group.

01:51The transport workers were told

01:54that if they want to protest,

01:57they can protest for 10 days.

02:06and the government of Punjab.
