00:00A small plane crashed into a furniture warehouse in Fullerton, California on Thursday, killing
00:07two and injuring at least 20.
00:09The aircraft, which took off from Fullerton Municipal Airport, about 10 kilometers from
00:14Disneyland, nosedived into the building.
00:17Police said the two deceased were on the plane, while the injured were believed to be inside
00:21the building.
00:22So the airplane departed from runway 24 at Fullerton about 2 p.m. this afternoon, climbed
00:29straight ahead to about 900 feet, and a short time later the pilot called for an immediate
00:34return to the airport.
00:36The tower controller then cleared the pilot to land on any runway.
00:42The airplane then appeared to make a 180-degree left turn and flew the left downwind for runway
00:4724, and ultimately crashed about 1,000 feet short of runway 24.
00:52It struck a furniture building and immediately caught fire.
00:56So far we have two confirmed fatalities, but we don't have any names or IDs.
01:01The coroner will be able to provide that at some point in the future.
01:05The Fullerton Police Department said the victims will be identified after notifying their next
01:09of kin.
01:10Eleven people were hospitalized, while eight were treated and released at the scene.
