Weather warnings as freezing temperatures hit United Kingdom

The UK's Meteorological Office said a snap of cold weather will grip the country, with large areas facing snowfall.

00:41heavy rains and powerful winds battered the island nation.

00:47Warnings that indicate flooding is expected were issued at one point to more than 150

00:51communities across the UK, with most being in northern England.
