00:00The Malabon Zoo called on the Filipinos to use an alternative sound system this new year

00:07so that the animals won't be distracted by the noise.

00:16As the year changes, the use of firecrackers has become a habit

00:20to make the new year's greetings louder.

00:23But unlike humans, the animals are more affected by the noise.

00:27That's why the Malabon Zoo, in this year's call,

00:31has decided to use an alternative sound system.

00:34The Malabon Zoo has given the children Torotot

00:37and along with their parents,

00:39explained to them how they can help the animals in this time.

00:44Dogs can hear four times stronger than a human being.

00:48Cats, especially, four times stronger than a human being.

00:51Our pets, we put them inside our room, inside our house,

00:57and play shooting music to distract them.

01:01This is also what they do to the animals in the zoo,

01:05which include tigers, guinea pigs, geese, and others.

01:09This also includes the snakes that are shown to the children closely,

01:13especially during the new year,

01:15a year of the snake,

01:18It also helps that there are a lot of trees in the zoo

01:21to reduce the noise in the evening.

01:23There's a calming sound inside the Malabon Zoo,

01:28and actually, they sleep the night through also.

01:31They are equipped with ears that can hear from very far away.

01:49They enjoyed visiting the Malabon Zoo.

01:51Kristaline is only eight years old.

01:53She prefers to be noisy with a toy.
