00:00a little college football and what a slate we have today this afternoon. First game not

00:07too far away. We've got the Armed Forces Bowl. Boomer Sooner. Oklahoma Sooners going against

00:13the midshipmen, Navy. It looks to be a close one. We've got the Birmingham Bowl. Vanderbilt

00:18looking at grabbing two and a half and the old Liberty Bowl. So let's start with the

00:23Armed Forces Bowl. You look at this total. It's not a big one, Joe. Could it be run heavy?

00:30Well, it could, except we've also seen Navy throw the ball. And we've also seen now 26

00:38Oklahoma Sooner players hit the transfer portal and will not be available for this game, including

00:44their starting quarterback, Jackson Arnold, six receivers, their top pass catcher in Bowersharp,

00:51their best tight end. In addition, they also won't have their best linebacker, Danny Stutzman.

00:57He has opted out. They have nobody in the safety position right now that ever played

01:03a snap this year. So you get where I'm getting at is that this is a complete second and third

01:08string Oklahoma Sooner team that couldn't score points during the year to begin with,

01:14taking on a midshipman team that this is their first bowl game for Navy since 2019. It is

01:20called the oh, I don't know. What is it again? The the military, the Armed Forces Bowl. Well,

01:26you have Navy playing in the Armed Forces Bowl. I can't imagine anybody on Oklahoma

01:32wants to be here in this game. And we know that's a big motivating factor. We saw Navy

01:39destroy Army last week. Blake Horvath, their quarterback, healthy again after battling

01:45some late season injuries. This is an offense that averages 249 rushing yards a game. That's

01:52six best in the country. And again, not having Stutzman and many other starting defensive

01:58players on that side of the ball. That could be problematic here. We're seeing a lot of

02:03Navy money come in late. We're also seeing, ironically enough, the total being bet up

02:09here now, doves. I'm seeing 44 and a half showing up in the marketplace. So a lot of

02:14over money, but a lot of Navy money. It would be Navy on the money line for me if I was

02:20going to play this game for sure. I like that. We've got Georgia Tech going against

02:25Vanderbilt. Vandy have not been playing good football leading into this one. So trying

02:30to turn things around, but it looks like they will have this starting quarterback in Pevea

02:34to set the tone. And Texas Tech, Arkansas in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Another close

02:40one projected 52 and a half. Is that Mark? So let's stick with this one. The Red Raiders

02:45going against the Razorbacks. Joe, any early lanes coming up here this afternoon over Memphis?

02:51Yes. Yeah. All Texas Tech here for me in this one against Arkansas. And the answer is simple.

02:59Listen, Texas Tech fired their defensive coordinator when the season was over and their offensive

03:05coordinator ended up taking the job at FAU Florida Atlantic. But coach McGuire still

03:13their head coach for Texas Tech, Joey McGuire. They will have a backup quarterback who by

03:21the way has already played a couple of games here this season and has impressed. He's kind

03:25of the future quarterback for Texas Tech. McGuire is a great coach. He'll have these

03:29guys ready. It's the Arkansas side. That's a problem here because they, everybody on

03:36the offense has opted out of this game except for the quarterback. They don't have any scholarship

03:42offensive linemen left on the roster to protect Taylor Green in this game. Nobody or every

03:49wide receiver that played a snap is gone. They have no skill position guys. I think

03:55this is a nightmare scenario for Arkansas. I think Texas Tech rolls in this one and gets

04:01it done at a great price right now. That's the early slate here for your college football

04:07Friday afternoon bowl season in full effect. We've also got Syracuse going against Washington

04:12State in the holiday ball and USC the Trojans taking on the Aggies, Texas A&M over there

04:18in Las Vegas, Sin City, the Aggies looking as the three and a half point favorites for

04:24USC. What a failed season this has been for Lincoln, Riley and the boys.

04:28Yeah, I agree. But keep in mind, by the way, and there's the biggest game that line movement

04:34we have seen all ball season long is this Syracuse, Washington State. And it's because

04:40quite honestly, Dubs, I cannot believe Washington State's even playing this game. Their quarterback

04:45John Maytier has left for Oklahoma along with the offensive coordinator. The head coach

04:51left took the job in Wake Forest. They we don't even know who's actually calling the

04:56plays right now or what the coaching staff looks like for Washington State. And most

05:01of the rest of the team has already left in the portal. Syracuse brings the entire team

05:07from this year to this game.
