00:11one place and that is in the Prayagraha city in Uttar Pradesh where the Mahakumbh is going
00:17to be celebrated. All preparations are underway and thousands and thousands of devotees have
00:25started making their way to this very sacred place. Not just the devotees, not just the
00:30pilgrims but the media houses also are making a beeline here to cover every moment. If we
00:37take a look at this place, this place needs no introduction, obviously this is the railway
00:43station of Prayagraj and you would see the banners flanking every corner of the railway
00:49station here. Mahakumbh Prayagraj 2025. Sarva Siddhi Pradaha Kumbh. This is the message
00:56and you would see all shades of Kumbh here. From Babas, from different Gharas to the banks
01:06of the river Ganges, river Yamuna and the iconic Prayagraj Sangam. This whole area as
01:14of now is the new part of the Prayagraj railway station where car parking for more than 2000
01:20cars is being made on both sides of the road. One is already functional, the other construction
01:25work is going on. Then there is a foot over bridge, an FOB is being constructed so that
01:30those who are coming from different parts of the country can easily get into the city without
01:34getting down here in the parking lot and not getting crowding the place. So right next to
01:40the railway station is a brand new hotel also called Hotel Polo Max which has more than 200
01:46beds to accommodate guests on a daily basis. When we cover this place, this is early morning here,
01:53the railway announcements are going on and trust me the kind of vibe this place is bringing in
01:58is something that tells you how important Mahakumbh is not just for the people of the
02:04residents of Prayagraj but also for people from all across the country. We met a family,
02:10a family of 14 members who have come, who are traversing this route of Prayagraj only to take
02:18a holy dip in the river Ganges. They are coming from Maharashtra. Now people of Maharashtra,
02:23people from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, all of them are converging here as of now for this sacred month
02:28of Mahakumbh and for the next 45 days starting January 13th this place would be buzzing like
02:36anything as it has been also. This is not the first time that is happening here but after a
02:41gap of 12 years, remember a lot of things have changed in 12 years. A new government at the
02:46center, Uttar Pradesh has seen successive governments of Yogi Adityanath and that particular
02:53change you can feel it here. Those who have come to Allahabad, Prayagraj earlier also for Mahakumbh
02:59and Ardhkumbh, they would see a marked difference as far as the city's infrastructure is concerned.
03:04Both beauty, then there is progress and also the taking people with them is something that is
03:12making a lot of positive vibes I would say. My colleague Keshav Karan is also here with me.
03:17Keshav, a lot of things as we have noticed in the last couple of days here which are reminiscent of
03:23the fact that Allahabad is all set to host crores and crores of people, billions if I may say so.
03:30What is your sense of understanding here when it comes to the kind of professions we are seeing here?
04:00Is there enough infrastructure to handle it or not? We had a lot of doubts yesterday but the way
04:06the work is going on, I think 40 crores is slightly exaggerated figure but like last time
04:14Haridwar's Kumbh Agra is there, around 6 crores of people came, so this time at least 12-15 crores
04:20of people will definitely come. And Allahabad which has now become Prayagraj, Prayagraj's
04:25infrastructure, as you were telling in your intro, 12-10 years ago it was not like that,
04:31it is still not like that to be very honest. But as the work is going on at a young age,
04:36if you turn on the camera here, you will see that a foot over bridge is being built here,
04:42this is additional. The other main foot over bridge is at the back side of the railway station,
04:49so that the people who will come from there, there is enough space for them.
04:55Like this, the work is going on at many places, the construction work is going on.
05:03One more thing, Keshav, which we saw here, that this is the part of the old station of Allahabad,
05:09this is a completely new part. In front too, a centre is being built,
05:15so that people can come and sit here.
05:15What kind of preparation has been done in the railways?
05:17Because most of the work is done by trains.
05:21Special trains will be running in all parts of the country.
05:23And there will be about 1300 extra rounds on the train, which are regular trains.
05:29Apart from that, there will be 1300 extra rounds from 13th January to 26th February.
05:38Helau Naro Bhau Nara, this is what brings us, this is the confluence of masses and faiths,
05:44that brings people from all walks of life, from all parts of the country to this very place,
05:48Allahabad, where all the roads are leading to.
