00:00Our countrymen who live in Negros Islands are suffering from double diseases.

00:05This is the result of a series of floods and volcanic activities in Vulcan Canlaon.

00:11According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development,

00:15more than 7,000 families and almost 22,000 individuals were affected by the eruption of the volcano.

00:25While more than 2,000 families were affected by the severe thunderstorms and shear lines in the area.

00:33In front of this, the Office of Civil Defense is continuing its work.

00:37The local government agencies are happy to help our countrymen.

00:43They are also preparing for the worst-case scenario.

00:47Meanwhile, the authorities are studying the potential locations in Negros Oriental

00:53for the added intensity that our displaced countrymen will experience.
