00:00Oh! Learn that in glee club.
00:06Order! Order!
00:08Welcome to Ms. Mojo and today we're counting down our picks for the moments
00:12from the iconic musical series where we see the cast break character.
00:18Come on.
00:18Okay. God, okay.
00:22Number 10. Blaine Comforts Tina
00:25Sounds crazy Blaine, but I wanted to be in that choir room with you guys.
00:28Believe me, you didn't. It was the most scared I think I've ever been in my life.
00:31In one of the more gut-wrenching episodes of the series,
00:34there were plenty of moments that left us on the edge of our seats.
00:37So we're grateful we also got a bit of comic relief thanks to Darren Criss
00:42seemingly not being able to hold in his laughter.
00:45When Tina and Blaine are discussing how they're feeling after a tragic event at McKinley,
00:50Tina pulls a classic move and bursts into tears.
00:53And that you know that you're my family. Everybody in that room is my family.
01:00And I didn't want the last thing you guys heard from me is some snarky comment
01:04about how I never get solos.
01:06She says that she doesn't want to be remembered by her fellow glee clubbers for her negativity,
01:10and Blaine hugs her to comfort her.
01:13It feels like we can see Darren Criss starting to laugh rather than Blaine.
01:23Oh I love you Tina.
01:28Even Tina starts to chuckle and it's a welcome moment of levity.
01:32Number 9. Some people just don't know how to screw things.
01:36Sam has a lot of funny moments with his on-again off-again love Mercedes,
01:40especially when he's trying to charm her.
01:42So I told the producers that my album needed an East Coast Harlem
01:47bebop uptown kind of vibe.
01:49In this scene, Sam is helping her get settled into her apartment in New York.
01:53They talk about living together as friends despite their romantic past.
01:57You know but Blaine and I need a place so you could just you know rent us.
02:02Oh you were talking about us.
02:04Yes I was.
02:05Mercedes shuts Sam down, but that doesn't stop him from trying to make her laugh.
02:09When he says this line in reference to a loose screw on a piece of furniture,
02:13she can't help but burst out laughing.
02:16Some people just don't know how to screw things.
02:21We're right there with her. Who could resist Trouty Mouth?
02:24Number 8. Trouty Mouth.
02:26The song Trouty Mouth managed to crack one member of the Glee cast back in season two.
02:31For regionals, the New Directions decide to try their hand at songwriting,
02:35and Santana's attempt at it is hilarious.
02:38This is a song that I wrote for Sam. It's called Trouty Mouth.
02:42Wait what's it called?
02:43Trouty Mouth.
02:44She's dating Sam at this time, and writes this sultry song about his froggy lips.
02:49When he protests, Mercedes can be seen hiding her laughter behind her book.
02:54Let's be honest, hearing him say Trouty Mouth out loud is funny.
02:58Mr. Schue, we're not doing a song at regionals called Trouty Mouth.
03:00You know what, I have to agree with Sam on this one.
03:03We're happy that others wound up taking the reins with the songwriting, though.
03:07As funny as this song is, it's not exactly competition ready.
03:157. Lego My Eggo
03:26When Puck returns from Juvie in season two,
03:28he puts on a tough guy persona despite the fact that he was actually miserable.
03:33So there I was, at Juvie, in the breakfast line of the mess hall,
03:36when I noticed me and the guy behind me going for the same waffle.
03:39On a double date with Santana, Artie, and Brittany,
03:41Puck tells them about how he got someone to back off when they were trying to take his waffle.
03:46The serious tone with which he delivers the Eggo slogan is quite funny.
03:51Lego my Eggo.
03:55And you know what he does?
03:56He lets go of my Eggo.
03:58In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment,
04:00it looks like Naya Rivera covers her mouth to try and hide her laughter.
04:04She gets it together fairly quickly,
04:06but we'd be surprised if she was the only one to have a hard time getting through this scene.
04:10You should be our nation's president.
04:13Maybe.
04:14Number six.
04:15Artie helps Quinn on the wheelchair ramp.
04:17One of the most shocking twists in the show is when Quinn finds herself in a wheelchair
04:21after a car accident.
04:23She finds an ally in Artie who helps her come to terms with her injury.
04:27They sing I'm Still Standing and spend Senior Ditch Day together.
04:31I'm still standing better than I ever did.
04:36Looking like a true survivor.
04:38Feeling like a little kid.
04:40In one of the more wholesome moments shared between them,
04:43Artie encourages Quinn up a steep ramp.
04:45He reminds her how strong she is and makes her laugh by reminiscing about her giving birth.
04:50Come on, you can do it.
04:51I'm not strong like you are.
04:52Yes, you are.
04:53Lean forward and push.
04:55Push.
04:56Don't make me laugh.
04:59When she gets to the top,
05:00they both seem to break as Quinn almost falls back down the ramp and Artie saves her.
05:05It's a nice moment from a duo we don't see often.
05:09Oh my god.
05:10Woo!
05:15Now just stay up there.
05:16Number five.
05:17Sam runs into Quinn.
05:19The Tea Party Patriots is McKinley's most popular club.
05:22Oh my god, that's horrible!
05:24What is happening to America?
05:26We love seeing the New Directions alumni return to the Glee Club.
05:30At the beginning of season six,
05:31we see plenty of OGs wandering the familiar halls of McKinley High.
05:35But the run-in we see in one scene had to be unscripted.
05:43I will be taking these.
05:45After a standout scene where the former Gleeks confront the members
05:49of the conservative Tea Party Patriot Club,
05:51Sam gets the last word,
05:53which is already hilarious.
05:54But on his way out after his mic drop moment,
05:57he accidentally runs into Quinn.
05:59You can see Diana Agron erupt with laughter,
06:02and it's adorable to say the least.
06:06Order!
06:07Order!
06:09Order!
06:10Number four.
06:11Kurt takes a spill.
06:12In the first episode of the third season,
06:15things are looking different for the Glee Club.
06:17A lot of them are in their senior year,
06:19and a few key members of the club have decided not to rejoin.
06:22But did anyone notice that the normally graceful Kurt Hummel
06:25is unusually clumsy during a number at the end of the episode?
06:39As the New Directions perform this high-energy song,
06:42we see them pulling off some flashy choreography.
06:45At the end, you can see Chris Colfer recover when he starts to fall.
06:53It's a fun Easter egg for ego-eyed viewers.
07:01Number three.
07:02Throat Explosion.
07:03Rival Glee Club Throat Explosion is a seriously worthy adversary
07:07for the New Directions in season five.
07:10They don't even go to class.
07:11They just perform every minute of every day.
07:13They live their art.
07:14They know no boundaries.
07:15They're constantly pushing the envelope,
07:17living and performing on the edge.
07:18They're like mini Lady Gaga's.
07:20They're great vocalists with very impressive dance moves
07:23that could probably even give vocal adrenaline a run for their money.
07:26So we can't blame Tina for reacting the way she does
07:29when she finds out they'll be competing against them.
07:32But we also resonate with Artie at this moment.
07:40He bursts out laughing and then covers his mouth,
07:42and it really feels like an authentic reaction from actor Kevin McHale.
07:46It's probably even more hilarious than whatever his scripted reaction might have been.
07:51Now, some of us in here are, you know, ambi-edge.
07:54Ambi-edge?
07:54You just make that up.
07:56Number two.
07:57Stop the Violence.
07:58Santana, the dodgeball thing was fun until the end, but enough.
08:01No, honey, I'm just getting started.
08:03I'm the leader of this group, and I'm telling you, lay off those guys.
08:06Naya Rivera's Santana isn't exactly the most cheery,
08:10so we savor the moments when the actor breaks character throughout the show.
08:13In this scene, the Troubletones discuss their rivalry with the New Directions,
08:17and Brittany pleads with Santana to play fair.
08:20She lightly sings,
08:21"'Stop the violence,'' and it seems to make Rivera break.
08:25Stop the violence.
08:29Come on.
08:30Okay, God, okay.
08:32Look, I'll play fair.
08:34While it looks like she recovers from it and gets back on track,
08:37we think this genuine moment really adds to the scene.
08:40Plus, it's a callback to one of the funniest bits in the whole show.
08:43You got a boob job.
08:45Yep, sure did.
08:46You can't hit me.
08:47Well, sure I can, unless you got yourself knocked up again, slut.
08:52Stop the violence.

09:10Number 1.
09:11Santana Hits Blaine
09:12Don't Stop Believin' is an anthem for the Glee Club and the show as a whole.
09:17Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit.
09:23The performance in the pilot will always be iconic,
09:26but the rendition that always gets us in the feels
09:29is in the episode when the club gets together one last time.
09:32But as Mr. Shue is singing his part,
09:34you can see Naya Rivera accidentally elbow Darren Criss in the face
09:38and then hug him, presumably to make sure he's okay.
09:42Working hard to get my fill, everybody wants a thrill.
09:49It's an adorable and genuine moment shared between cast members,
09:53and it's worth re-watching this performance to catch this character break.
09:57Which character break had you laughing right along with them?
