00:00Walk-in nine is a two stage rocket designed for the reliable and safe transport of satellites, cargo and
00:08people to outer space.
00:09At the very top of the rocket is the payload fairing.
00:13The fairing is the protective shell that houses all of the spacecraft shielding them from aerodynamic
00:18heating and mechanical stress until the vehicle is outside the earth's atmosphere.
00:23The aerodynamic shape of the fairing also contributes to Falcon 9's overall efficiency

06:38Power and telemetry are nominal.
06:40Confirmation there that power and telemetry are both looking good.
06:44We are currently throttling down the rocket to prepare for max Q.
06:48The point of maximum...
06:50With that call out, we know that Falcon 9 is moving faster than the speed of sound.
06:55And again, max Q is our next major milestone here.
06:59Max Q.
07:09That confirmation is important because max Q is the point of maximum aerodynamic stress on the vehicle.
07:15And with that, we now have several...
07:17MVAC chill has started.
07:18Confirmation that we're beginning to chill the MVAC engine ahead of second engine start one.
07:23Which is just one of several events that we have coming up in quick succession here.
07:27Our next major milestone will be main engine cut off or MECO.
07:31Where we will shut down the nine Merlin engines on board the second...
07:34I'm sorry, on board the first stage.
07:36Shortly thereafter, we'll have stage separation.
07:39Where that pusher within the inner stage will be activated to separate the first and second stages from each other.
07:45Then we'll flip the first stage around so it can make its way back to earth.
07:48Which you'll hear called out as stage one flip.
07:51Then second engine start one or SES one.
07:54Before the start of our boost back burn.
08:10Main engine cut off.
08:12There's confirmation of MECO.
08:13Stage separation confirmed.
08:14And stage separation.
08:16With great views on your screen right there.
08:20MVAC ignition.
08:24Stage back start up.
08:27And there we had confirmation that we have lit our MVAC engine on board the second stage.
08:32And you've got great views on your screen right now of the boost back burn for our first stage booster.
08:44The next milestone we're expecting to hear called out by mission control is fairing separation.
08:49During fairing separation, those two fairing halves, which again are flight proven for today's mission,
08:54are going to be jettisoned away from one another before falling back to earth.
09:00SpaceX will attempt to recover those fairing halves again tonight.
09:03Reusability is key to lowering the cost of access to space, which is critical to enabling...
09:08Fairing separation confirmed.
09:09...future scientific research.
09:11And with that, we do have fairing separation confirmed.
09:14Stage back start up.
09:16And confirmation that our boost back burn has ended.
09:26Now that our boost back burn is complete, Falcon 9 has two more burns in order to land its first stage booster.
09:36Our next major milestone is the entry burn on our first stage,
09:39which is scheduled to occur at about T plus 6 minutes and 32 seconds.
09:46The entry burn is the first of those two burns ahead of landing,
09:49and it's effectively pumping the brakes on board the first stage.
09:52We need to slow the rocket down before it hits the denser parts of the earth's atmosphere.
