00:00The entire national media which is watching in English, I would like to repeat the entire
00:03thing in a much shorter way. Firstly, it's a very unfortunate.
00:21Firstly, it's a very unfortunate thing. It's an unfortunate accident which nobody's at fault.
00:28Genuinely speaking, nobody's at fault.
00:58It's a very unfortunate accident that has happened and nobody to be blamed.
01:04I genuinely think there's nobody to be blamed and I'm here not to blame anybody. I'm not here to
01:10be against any department or any political leader or individually or the government. No,
01:16not at all. I'm actually very thankful for the government because they've been very supportive
01:19to the film industry, you know, and I'm very thankful for all that. This is just to state,
01:26you know, there's a lot of misinformation, there's a lot of false allegation and there's a lot of,
01:32you know, communication gaps and, you know, thinking that and there are a lot of misquotations
01:36which I have not said. It is just to clear that I have not said anything like that.
01:40Please don't judge me. Please don't have character assassination on me. Please,
01:46it's my kind request. I'm not that kind of a person. I've been here for 20 years.
01:50I have a reasonably credible credibility, you know, and when it's damaged overnight,
01:56in one evening, for a number of years, you know, I have respect. I've earned this respect
02:00after 21-22 years of work and overnight when it's sabotaged, it really hurts.
02:06And I'm just here to clear to the people and to all the respective people that, you know,
02:10please don't get it onto me. It is only my personal expression, but it's not against anyone.
02:17I genuinely don't want to, it's not personal to anyone. And I just want to say that three years
02:27of my life, I put into this film and it means everything to me. And I went to see this movie
02:32in the theater and I've been to the same theater 20-30 times in my life before. And, you know,
02:40and there is also information that I've been very irresponsible going to the theater without
02:44any permission, which is not true at all. You know, there has been, you know,
02:49I'd like to be clear with these words because I don't want to misinterpret any words.
02:53What should I say, sir? Yeah. Okay. The theater has swapped permission and I've been there and
02:59right in front of my eyes, there's police people who are clearing the way. So, I was going by their
03:03direction. In fact, if there's no permission, you know, they'll tell us that, sir, we don't
03:08have permission, please return back. And I'm a law-abiding citizen and I would have followed
03:11that. So, nothing of that information was given to me. So, I was following as per their guidance
03:16and we went inside and there was a lot of crowd and it was no road show. It was no procession.
03:22It's just crowd outside the theater, right outside the theater, just a couple of maybe meters and
03:26yards outside the theater. I just waved my hands because that's the respect that hundreds of people
03:31come to see you. It's my basic respect that I wave my hands and only it comes to a point that
03:36your car cannot move. And that's when you get up and you wave your hands because all the bouncers
03:41management, police, a lot of people say, sir, when you wave your hand is when they all cool off and
03:46they go. This happens to every celebrity, every leader, everybody knows that. The moment you raise,
03:51you know, you just, they see you, they all want to get a glimpse of you. The moment they get a
03:54glimpse of you, they're satisfied and they'll start moving away. The crowd starts moving and they
03:57started clearing up. Because there's so much, you know, crowd over the car, it is a point where I
04:02had to come up and wave everybody so that they cleared the way out for me. They did clear the way
04:07and we did move inside the theater. And after watching the, you know, after we started watching
04:11the movie, within a few minutes, maybe I don't know, remember the time, but within some time,
04:16they came and told me, sir, there's an uncontrollable crowd outside the theater.
04:21You have to please vacate. I said, a hundred percent. No police person, nobody ever told me.
04:25It was just told by one of my, one or two of my managers and there's a box. I didn't even
04:29exactly have details of who even told me. It was one of my managers. There was no police for sure.
04:34Nobody even approached me. Nobody communicated to me. They just said there's overcrowd outside.
04:37We have to leave right now. And I left the crowd and after leaving the crowd, I came back home
04:42and next day I came to know that there was a lady and there was a child. The lady died very,
04:49very, very unfortunate. An accident happened in the stampede, not stampede, sorry. An accident
04:54happened that, you know, that lady died outside the theater due to that, you know, in that, in that,
04:59in that people, in that suffocation. So, and, and I had no idea about it.
05:07And I know that the child was, you know, the child was hurt and they're admitted in the hospital.
05:12I had no idea. If I knew my child, you know, I was watching the theaters with my own child and my own,
05:18my own two kids were there of the same age. I left them in the theaters because I had no
05:21idea that something like this has even happened. And I left the theaters thinking, okay, they'll
05:26watch once I leave the entire crowd, everybody will be safe. I was in my purest, best intention.
05:31My intention is not to hurt anybody. My intention is to everybody come to theaters and enjoy the
05:35film. I did that for that. I live for that. That's my highest value. Anyways, coming back.
05:42Once, next day I came to know, then I told all my close associates, everybody to go
05:47immediately visit them. And they all visited them. And they said by the evening,
05:51they applied a case on me. They filed the case on me. So I cannot go visit them personally.
05:56You know, from a legal standpoint, I couldn't visit them. I immediately wanted to see them.
06:01They said, no, last night you went to the theater. There was a chaos. If you come to the hospital
06:04now, it will be a chaos. And also from a legal standpoint, it'll be extremely long.
