00:00Today is a very important day, we are inaugurating this fantastic photovoltaic plant.
00:09It is a very innovative plant that unites technology with the beauty of the place,
00:15made in record times by ASEA and above all by RETO, the ASEA Group Society,
00:21to guarantee also to the Vatican this energy transition that is now inevitable for our entire planet.
00:28It is a plant that, as we can see, is composed of 235 high-performance photovoltaic panels,
00:35which was realized thanks to the coordination of RETO together with a series of suppliers and subcontractors
00:43in a harmony that allowed to realize everything in 6 months,
00:48obviously reconciling the realization of this infrastructure with the visits of tourists
00:54that have never been interrupted during this period.
00:56So a challenge that we have accepted and that we are happy to have completed,
01:01obviously collaborating with the government, with the infrastructure management
01:06and with all the structures of the Vatican City,
01:10to make this the first step of a bunch of initiatives that, together with the ASEA Group,
01:17the Vatican City is trying to achieve precisely to have a complete transition
01:24towards a net zero economy within this small but great State.
01:29What we are waiting for is to completely shut down the emissions,
01:32so to reach zero emissions, which is the goal that not only is put in the Vatican City,
01:38but that is put in Rome in its entirety and in any case the economy of our country in its whole.
01:43As you can see, the most difficult thing is the reason that the soil in the big cities
01:49and also in this State is very consumed,
01:52to integrate and find spaces where to realize photovoltaic infrastructures
01:57in places that are already strongly built, as they say, strongly energized.
02:01And this is an extraordinary example of how in an infrastructure that already existed
02:05you can think, imagine and realize a system that is compatible with an existing infrastructure.
02:11So this is the challenge, here and in the cities,
02:15to find spaces where to realize the transition with infrastructures compatible with the existing one.
