00:00The Department of Justice said executive clemency is not the only option for Mary-Jane Veloso

00:06as she can also be granted parole or pardon.

00:09The DOJ explained if executive clemency is granted to Veloso, it will come solely from

00:15an order by President Ferdinand Marquez, Jr.

00:19It is also possible that clemency may be extended to others.

00:23If it's parole or a pardon, the new rules under the Good Conduct Time Allowance law

00:29will apply.

00:30The Board of Pardons and Parole, along with the Bureau of Corrections or BuCor, will study

00:35if Veloso can be released.
