00:51The signing of the agreement was made by the Chief Executive Officer of Pertamina NREA, John Anis, together with the Director-General of Pertamina Geothermal Energy, Julfi Hadi, last Friday.
01:02The signing was also witnessed by the Director-General of PT Pertamina Persero, Simon Aloysius Mantiri.
01:09In his statement, Simon expressed his appreciation for the innovation carried out to support the net zero emission.
01:15However, Indonesia has abundant green energy potential, starting from the sun throughout the year, the vast forest, to the heat of the earth and hydrogen.
01:22According to Simon, the trade and carbon credit agreement between Pertamina NREA and Pertamina Geothermal Energy also supports the government's efforts to push the energy sector towards a green energy transition.
01:33This effort is also part of the effort for renewable energy, which is the main program of President Prabowo Subianto's government.
01:41This collaboration continues the contribution of Pertamina NREA in managing carbon credit from the Geothermal La Hendong Unit 5 and 6 project, which is located in the hot earth field of Tompaso, North Sulawesi.
01:54Through this new agreement, Pertamina NREA will sell carbon credit as large as 390,000 tons of CO2e for Volume 3.
