00:00The Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators, or POGO,

00:05in Island Cove, Kawit, Cavite, was completely shut down.

00:07That's what Ryan Leziguez reported.

00:11This is the only POGO, or Offshore Gaming Hub,

00:16that's left in the whole Philippines.

00:18So, this morning, when we shut it down,

00:23there's no hub left here in the whole country.

00:29A few days before the ultimatum of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was passed,

00:34the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators, or POGO, in the whole country was shut down.

00:38Earlier, the POGO in Island Cove, Kawit, Cavite, was inspected and completely shut down.

00:44It was led by DILG Secretary John V. Cremulia

00:48and PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil,

00:51PAGCOR, and PAOC to put a notice of closure

00:55on the establishments inside the POGO Hub.

00:58DILG and PNP, PAOC, PAGCOR, and DOJ also completely shut down the establishments.

01:05In the so-called inspection, the abandoned gaming rooms were bombed.

01:09The quarters of the employees were also vacanted.

01:12This Island Cove is said to be the biggest POGO Hub operation in the whole country.

01:17It has an area of 30 hectares and will not lower than 57 establishments.

01:21When this POGO Hub was shut down,

01:23not less than 30,000 employees lost their jobs.

01:28Including 15,000 Filipinos and 15,000 foreigners.

01:33As you can see, in the self-sustaining community,

01:35there are restaurants, beauty parlors, KTVs, and groceries.

01:39At its peak, there were 30,000 people here.

01:43Now, it's zero.

01:44At least those who take care of the people who live here.

01:47The former working visa of the foreigners working in POGO was also removed from the tourist visa,

01:53so they cannot stay in the country for long.

01:56The PNP and PAHOK were assured that they will monitor the possible occurrence of guerrilla operations of POGO,

02:03where the Business Process Outsourcing or BPO is being covered.

02:07According to the PAG Corps,

02:08the Philippines will lose P20 billion per year in the closure of POGO in the country.

02:15As you can see, after January 1, you will see the power of the government against this.

02:23Our President's promise will be fulfilled that there will be no POGO by January 1.

02:28At the end of the first week, we will start enforcing the small-scale POGO operations
