JD Cagulangan bags MVP award  UP Fighting Maroons point guard JD Cagulangan bagged the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball Finals MVP plum following his team's 66-62 Game 3 win against La Salle at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on December 16, 2024.  A Mythical Team member this season, Cagulangan logged 13.67 points, 4.33 rebounds, 4.67 assists, 1.33 steals in the Big Dance to claim the Finals MVP plum and help UP claim the championship at La Salle's expense.
