00:00Somebody's got to get the award, and for what he's been through and what he's able to accomplish,

00:24I think that deserves the man of the year, especially representing New York, especially

00:31for guys like us that build these buildings all day out here, and he got us on his mind.

00:37So Trump is the man, and I'm with that, so I got no problem with him being the man of

00:42the year.

00:43He could be the man of the year next year.

00:44He could be the man of the year four years in a row, if it don't big bother to me.

00:49Trump is good for me for four years, maybe four more years if he could.

00:56The overtime and then not being taxed for it, yeah, I'm with that.

01:02Just someone on the outside, from over the pond, he just seems to be very positive for

01:07the markets, seems to be more confident in jobs, things like that.

01:11Honestly, I voted for him, and then everybody else, I didn't know who I was voting for,

01:30so I just put C for everything, answered C.

01:36We haven't had a president that was more groundbreaking and more honest besides Reagan,

01:42to tell you the truth.

01:44Everybody else has been playing games that wasn't direct, and Trump is very direct.

01:48I think that's his biggest problem, that he's too direct, and I love it.

01:54We like direct stuff.

01:55We don't like sideways business.

01:56We like straight business, and Trump is a straight business person.

02:02I know there's a lot of commotion online, but yeah, just look at the facts, what's happening

02:12positively for jobs, what's happening positively for business, international relations.

02:50There were multiple different people that could have gotten it and were giving it to

02:55that's done worse for the country than any president out there, and we're giving him

03:04I just think it's absolutely disgusting.

03:10I also live in a bubble of New York City, so I understand that my perspective is quite

03:17limited.

03:18I was shocked when he won.

03:20I was actually, which makes me realize I was in a bubble, but it causes concern for me

03:30about the state of America and what our values are if we're choosing Trump to be representative

03:38of those values and person of the year.

03:42To me, it's astounding and a little disappointing.

03:51I haven't seen it, but I would probably feel really angry and enraged to see it.

03:57I'm disappointed.

03:59I think anger is like a secondary emotion.

04:01At the end of the day, I just feel kind of sad, disappointed, but I think initial reaction

04:06would probably be anger and then sit down with that feeling and come to find that, you

04:14know, it's just sad that ego has consumed a lot of American culture.

04:29I don't really think that's smart, fair, or right.

04:33As a gay man, I feel violated, really, I do, just because I feel like my rights are about

04:43to be taken away and we're out here giving him person of the year and basically glorifying

04:49what he's done in the past and what he's probably going to do in the future.

05:00Kamala Harris would have been my president.

05:02That's who I voted for personally.

05:04But person of the year, there's so many inspiring people I work with every day.

05:08Not just people that we see on covers of magazines, but even patients of mine, students of mine,

05:14people who inspire me, mentors.

05:16So there's so many people that I have grown and learned from.

05:19I can't think of any one single person.

05:23But there are a lot of people who are giving back to the community in amazing ways,

05:28so I think there could have been a better place.

05:33I don't know all who was able to be on it, but literally anybody else.

05:38For instance, Kate Middleton.

05:41She's just gone through a cancer diagnosis and is trying to do good because she's about

05:45to be queen consort, but we're here, like I said, giving it to somebody who's done

05:50so much bad for the country.
