00:00Hi, my name is Alirza Khatami and I am the director of The Things You Kill, which is

00:11playing at the World Cinema Dramatic Competition of 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

00:17The Things You Kill started as a personal and intimate story to me and gradually grew

00:23to something much bigger with wild plot twists that scared even me and took the film to

00:30uncharted territories.

00:33I wanted to make a film with richness and depth of a novel with characters of flesh

00:39and blood who are completely real.

00:42I wanted to make a film that when you walk out of the theatre, you could turn around

00:48to your friend and ask, what the hell did we just watch?

00:51A film that lingers in your mind long after the credit roll.
