00:00Over the last few days, the streets of Seoul have resembled its concert arenas.

00:07Customized light sticks popular with fans of K-pop are commonplace among demonstrators

00:11calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yol after his failed martial law attempt

00:16last week.

00:18Since then, tens of thousands of protesters have braved the cold of South Korea in December

00:23to gather outside its National Assembly.

00:26The protesters want Yoon out of office, and their chants and light stick choreography

00:31to get people riled up have gone viral on social media, so have flags with memes and

00:37messages, mostly from younger demonstrators.

00:56While he survived a first impeachment vote last Saturday, the opposition has vowed to

01:08try again, and Yoon's own party says it is formulating a plan for him to eventually step

01:13down.

01:14Protesters will likely continue to demonstrate, marching to the beat to their own drum and

01:18some K-pop anthems along the way.
