Expats in Dubai celebrate 74th Pakistan Independence Day

00:00The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai held a simple but patriotic celebration of

00:15the 74th Pakistan Independence Day on consulate grounds in Bur Dubai on Friday.

00:27Ahmad Amjad Ali, the Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, and his family led the observance

00:33with the hoisting of the Pakistan flag, followed by a short program including prayers and reading

00:39of messages from the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, and Prime

00:45Minister Imran Khan.

00:47On this 74th Independence Day of Pakistan, I would wish all citizens of Pakistan in Dubai

00:55and Northern Emirates a very happy Independence Day.

00:58Let's all work together for the betterment and prosperity of our motherland and I'm sure

01:05that all Pakistanis have made us all proud always.

01:09We will make proud Pakistan and we will make each and every effort to bring prosperity

01:15to our nation and we'll keep our flag flying high.

01:25Pakistan's colors dominated the consulate grounds and most people also came in green

01:30and white, but due to the current coronavirus situation and social distancing norms, the

01:35activity was only open to consulate officials and a few guests, including members of the

01:40press.
