00:03You see, when you recycle, what is it that you do?

00:05Not that recycling is a bad thing to do.

00:07I'm all for recycling.

00:08When you recycle, you relieve yourself of the guilt of your carbon footprint.

00:13Again, I admit that the carbon footprint of the average individual, especially the average

00:17Indian individual, is anyway not that big.

00:20But still, when you recycle, you console yourself that you have done your bit.

00:24Your center, the very center of consumption does not change.

00:27But you have found out a very economical way, dare I say cheap, to relieve yourself

00:32of your inner guilt.

00:33No, I'm a nice man.

00:35What have I done?

00:36You know, I recycle.

00:37I do not use much plastic.

00:38You know, when I'm going out, I take care to switch off that 10 watts bulb, not 10 watts

00:44bulb.

00:45And you are certifying yourself as a proper individual just because you take these measures.

00:50It doesn't help much.

00:51The center remains the same unless there is a shift in the center.

00:54A solution to the problem of climate change is not possible.
