00:45about me and Vicky dating or, you know, getting to know each other

00:49or, you know, liking each other, we actually were not dating.

00:53And it was really awkward.

00:54And the funniest thing is that it just seems to me so much

00:57that it really was in my destiny.

01:04because there were so many coincidences and things that would just happen.

01:09It was like, I would be surprised that, oh, this is unusual.

01:14Now, way before, like, you became a movie star and an actor,

01:18you knew Katrina Kaif as this amazing movie star,

01:22gorgeous and hot and, like, the world loves her.

01:24Did you ever imagine you would marry her one day?

01:27No, Karan. In fact, what happened in the last season on this couch,

01:31it was really my moment to know that she knows about me.

01:36That she knew you existed?

01:36Yeah, I did not know that.

01:44Did Zoya play matchmaker? Is that true?

01:48I would say that when we did get to the point where I realized that,

01:54listen, I kind of, I like this person,

01:56Zoya was one of the first people I told.

01:59And she may or may not have, you know, put some good thoughts and energies out there.

02:05Well, she definitely did because I was at this dinner.

02:07It was for Zoya's birthday.

02:09I'm not sure. It was some kind of a celebration.

02:11And she was at that dinner and you were at that dinner.

02:14And it just seemed like this is a love story that is happening in front of our eyes.

02:18And, you know, I think for the first time,

02:20it's like people were really rooting for you to come together.

02:23It's like two good people, like Zoya was like,

02:25man, he's so nice. She's so lovely.

02:28They have to get together.

02:29So, when we first started dating,

02:31you know, someone would ask me or I would tell someone.

02:34And they'd be like, what?

02:37Really? Oh, yeah, interesting.

02:39You know, like it was, it was, it was not expected.

02:42And that to me is, has, I think, one,

02:44been one of the most beautiful things about it,

02:46that it just came out of nowhere.

02:49And it really was, it really was like a whirlwind.

02:51Sometimes it's really, that is what love is all about.

02:53It just sometimes appears out of nowhere.

02:55But what a unique family to walk into.

02:57So, we were at this party together where it was right after your wedding

03:01and there was your family, all your siblings,

03:03and you have many of them and they're all gorgeous and lovely.

03:05And then there's Vicky's family, which is like a complete,

03:08like a full-blooded Punjabi.

03:11I'm Punjabi, so I get it.

03:12So, is it like a cross-cultural bash,

03:15which is like everyone is like completely absorbed?

03:18Or have there been like kind of obstacles in your path?

03:20Has it been easy?

03:21They're coming together, the two families.

03:23The most important thing that happened is

03:25the way that Vicky is with his parents and his family,

03:29Sunny, his mom, his dad,

03:31is so incredible.

03:33And at some point,

03:35even if you find certain things about his,

03:38the way he would be in the beginning of our relationships

03:40a little bit restrictive,

03:42the one thought that always occurred to me was,

03:44is that this is the kind of respect, loyalty,

03:46and importance he gives to his family.

03:48This is the same loyalty, respect and importance

03:50he's going to give to his family when he's married.

03:53She's a wonderful, wonderful soul,

03:54and one of the wisest and the most compassionate person

03:58I've ever come across.

03:59She's like a mirror to me.

04:00She really would state out hard facts,

04:03which I need to know, which I need to hear.

04:05And you always need that person with you, closest to you.

04:07And so, yeah, I truly feel fortunate

04:11to have her as my life partner.
