Celebrations erupted in the Syrian city of Homs on Sunday (Dec 8) morning after rebels announced they had seized full control of the city.  Syrian rebels announced on state television that they had ousted President Bashar al-Assad, ending a 50-year family dynasty in a swift offensive. 00:15Our happiness is great, it is not measured in time, thank God we have no losses, no one

00:25has come close to anyone, no one has hurt anyone, we are just happy with the victory.

00:28We are happy for the prisoners who have spent all their lives in prison.

00:32May God protect them and may God give them victory.

00:34And congratulations on the victory for all Syrians.
