00:00The Malaysian Ministry of Health has recorded over 10,000 cases of waterborne diseases at
00:08temporary relief centres in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Perak as
00:15of Friday.
00:17Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkifli Ahmad said these cases included acute respiratory
00:22infections, skin infections, acute gastroenteritis, conjunctivitis, chicken pox and hand, foot
00:30and mouth disease.
00:32He said all reported infectious disease cases at the relief centres are sporadic and under
00:37control.
00:38He also advised the public to remain attentive to directives from authorities and take personal
00:44health precautions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, accidents and injuries.
00:51Individuals are also urged to seek immediate treatment from medical teams at the relief
00:55centres or the nearest healthcare facilities and avoid delaying treatment.
