DPR Minta Pemerintah Serap Aspirasi Rakyat soal Kenaikan PPN 12 Persen

Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani merespons terkait wacana pemberlakuan tarif PPN dari 11% menjadi 12% pada 1 Januari 2025.

00:00Puan Maharani, Chairperson of the DPRRI, responded to a report on the increase in VAT from 11% to 12% on January 1, 2025.

00:12After the Paripurna meeting on Thursday, December 5, at the Jakarta Parliament Complex,

00:17Puan asked the relevant ministries to evaluate first,

00:22also hearing the aspirations of various elements of society.

00:25Puan also assessed that an increase of 12% in VAT was done at the wrong time and condition,

00:31especially in the current state of the economy.

00:36We hope that the government can first listen to the aspirations of all communities,

00:42from entrepreneurs, farmers, and all elements of society,

00:46before deciding on this very crucial matter.

00:50Although it has been determined in the law,

00:53the government also has the right to evaluate,

00:57because we also have to look at the aspirations of the community and the current economic situation.

01:05Puan insisted that members and leaders of the DPRRI will urge the President

01:10to postpone or provide options regarding the planned increase in VAT.

01:15Even so, the increase in VAT of 12% is a guarantee of the Law No. 7 of 2021

01:22on harmonization of VAT tax regulations.
