00:00The Philippines is no longer on the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force.

00:04President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. wrote this in the 33rd Anti-Terrorism Council regular meeting and year-end celebration.

00:12According to the President, this is important for the millions of Filipinos

00:17because it will be easier to send remittances of overseas Filipino workers

00:23and it will also help to increase the confidence of investors in the country's economy.

00:29Remember that in 2021, the Philippines will be on the gray list

00:34due to the continued efforts of the government to fight money laundering and terrorist financing.

00:42This milestone will benefit millions of Filipinos from smoother remittances for overseas workers

00:48to increased investor confidence that bolsters our economy.

00:53These successes were made possible through the collaboration of various agencies,

00:58private sector stakeholders, and tireless public servants.

01:03It reminds us that when we move as one,

01:06we can achieve goals that resonate across borders across generations.

01:11Let me acknowledge once again those who have been recognized earlier.

01:16The work we do requires constant evolution.
