00:00The government of India has admitted that they are looking for negative and sensationalized news in their country,

00:06especially in digital platforms like YouTube and online news.

00:11Because of this, they are pushing for the change of the image of India in the friendly community.

00:18As of now, the ASEAN-India Media Exchange Visit 2024 was held,

00:23which was hosted by journalists from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.

00:33It will last for six days and will show that India is a peaceful country.

00:40The ASEAN-India Media Exchange program also deepened the understanding of India and the Philippines,

00:44especially in their similarity in the importance of democracy, the implementation of the law and the use of the English language.

00:52Most of all, the rich culture of India is focused on activity,

00:57which shows the beauty of the country from a distance,

01:00and has a deeper understanding of their traditions and customs.

01:08You get to see a lot of negative reporting in newspapers,

01:12mainly because these are from agencies, and there is less of first-hand reporting.

01:19Because of course, for all our countries, we don't really have journalists embedded in or posted in each other's countries,

01:27so that first-hand reporting knowledge is often missing.
