"ពោធិ៍សាត់" គឺជាខេត្តមួយក្នុងចំណោមខេត្ត-ក្រុង ចំនួន ២៥របស់កម្ពុជា។ ខេត្តនេះមានផ្ទៃដីសរុប ១២.៦៩២គីឡូម៉ែត្រការ៉េ ឋិតនៅភាគ #ខាងលិច នៃប្រទេស មាន #ព្រំប្រទល់ជាប់ #ខេត្តកំពង់ឆ្នាំង #កំពង់ស្ពឺ #កោះកុង និង #ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង។ បច្ចុប្បន្ននៅមានពលរដ្ឋមួយចំនួនលំបាកក្នុងការកំណត់យកនិយមន័យនៃអត្តសញ្ញាណរបស់ខេត្តពោធិ៍សាត់ និងការសរសេរឈ្មោះខេត្តមួយនេះឲ្យបានត្រឹមត្រូវ។

មន្ទីរវប្បធម៌ និងវិចិត្រសិល្បៈខេត្តពោធិ៍សាត់ បានលើកយកឯកសារសម្អាងចំនួនពីរក្នុងការឲ្យនិយមន័យ និងសរសេរ #ឈ្មោះខេត្តពោធិ៍សាត់ គឺទីមួយវចនានុក្រមសម្ដេចសង្ឃរាជ ជួន ណាត និងទីពីរ #សៀវភៅកម្ពុជសុរិយា ដែលបោះពុម្ពនៅឆ្នាំ២០០៣។ យោងតាមឯកសារទាំងពីរនេះបញ្ជាក់ថា ពាក្យ "#ពោធិ៍សាត់ (Pursat)" គឺជាពាក្យត្រឹមត្រូវរបស់ខេត្តនេះ មិនមែន "#ពោធិសាត់ (Podhisat)" នោះទេ។
Pursat Province is located in western Cambodia, bordering the Tonle Sap lake and the Cardamom Mountains. Fourth largest province in Cambodia by area, but with a relatively small population (14th in the country). Known for its natural beauty, including waterfalls, mountains, and the Tonle Sap. Relatively unexplored compared to other regions, offering a chance to see a more authentic side of Cambodia. Main economic activities are agriculture and marble sculpting. Accessible by road, boat, and rail.
