00:00We have hot news to start with for today's talk.

00:10Chito Miranda defended his wife, Nery Naig, after she was arrested last Saturday.

00:17Nery is currently in jail in Pasay City Jail for syndicated staffing and violation of the Securities Regulation Code.

00:26According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nery's case is related to a problem faced by Dermacare,

00:33a beauty product brand, to their investors.

00:36Nery refused to accept an investment from the public even though Dermacare has no registration or license from the SEC.

00:46Chito insisted that Nery was not fooled and that she has no chance with her partner.

00:53Nery also refused to accept a letter from the prosecutor, no punishment, or any notice before she was arrested.

01:03Chito's defense is that Nery is just an endorser.

01:07I've read that already.

01:11This is what I think.

01:17Yesterday, I had this very difficult experience reading the news.

01:22Because Nery is a very good person, a very hardworking person, and it was very difficult to process this whole incident.

01:34Why did this happen to Nery?

01:38According to Senator Kiko Pangilinan, he's willing to help.

01:43Let me talk as a manager.

01:45If you are an endorser of a product, we have a free and harmless clause.

01:54This means that we do not warrant the company to negotiate a product with the public.

02:01We are only in charge of what the product says to us as endorsers.

02:08Right now, I've been talking to my lawyers.

02:10One of my lawyers, Atty. Wendell de Maculangan, he was saying,

02:14they can file a petition for bail, even if it's non-bailable,

02:18so that he can say that his case is weak in evidence,

02:22or they can file a motion to quash the information.

02:28So there are remedies, and we continue to pray.

02:32I believe that Nery is a good person, a hardworking mother, and a good neighbor.

02:38She's my neighbor in Tagaytay.

02:40And this is my personal knowledge.

02:43She's a good kid, a good woman, and a good wife.

02:47That's all I wanted to say.
