00:00Actress and businesswoman Nery Naig Miranda is now in jail after being arrested this weekend for the case of syndicated estafa and violation of the Security Regulation Code.

00:16While at the Entrepreneur Convention Mall in Pasay City this Saturday, a woman was arrested by the Southern Police District upon confirmation by the Bureau of Jailmanagement and Penalogy or BJMP.
00:36The arrested person is actress and businesswoman Nery Naig Miranda.
00:41She was served two warrants. One is now turned over to the BJMP.
00:47Based on the warrants issued by Pasay City RTC, Nery was charged with 14 counts of violation of the Securities Regulation Code,
00:55where anyone who is not a registered broker or dealer in the Securities and Exchange Commission cannot buy or sell securities.
01:03Naig is now in jail, but she will remain in jail for the case of syndicated estafa, which is non-bailable.
01:10In a Facebook post, she defended her husband, Edgar Frontman Chito Miranda,
01:16claiming that he never took or asked for money from anyone.
01:22She claimed that Nery is just an endorser and used her face to attract investors.
01:28As for Chito, he suddenly arrested his wife without a notice or a fine.
01:33He also did not give Nery a chance to explain.
