00:00I remember one day, about 10 years ago, I chased him out of a hotel and he was about
00:05to get in his car and I'm like, sir, please, please, I just want to work with you, give
00:07me one chance, give me one chance.
00:09And he just looked at me and he sat in his car.
00:10I made a promise to myself that I would never step into the impure streets of Tazdar Baloch
00:16Hiramandi.
00:17Finally, you know, a circle of life, he comes back and he actually takes me on as his lead
00:21character.
00:22It's nothing short of a blessing and all thanks to God.
00:24Hi, this is Taha Shabadusha and here we are talking to the incredible brute.
00:48The life has changed that French people know me.
00:51French people are Tazdar and I'm like, yeah, so I believe that it's gone global.
00:58And for me, as an actor who has been working for the last 14 years, I believe a little
01:03bit of recognition is always an encouragement and I'm getting so much.
01:07So I'm just very, very grateful and very, very humbled.
01:10Sanjay Labansali is, you know, he's an incredible, incredible filmmaker, not only a filmmaker,
01:15but he's also a great visionary and a person of great caliber.
01:19I believe that he doesn't do anything less than perfect.
01:23It's exactly what he demands from all of us and from himself.
01:26He's a maestro and many a times I believe that, you know, it's every actor's dream, first
01:31of all, to work with such a great man.
01:33And it's been an honor after so many years because I remember one day about 10 years
01:37ago, I chased him out of a hotel and he was about to get in his car and I'm like, sir,
01:41please, please, I just want to work with you.
01:43Give me one chance.
01:44Give me one chance.
01:45And he just looked at me and he sat in his car.
01:46And finally, you know, a circle of life, he comes back and he actually takes me on as
01:51his lead character.
01:52It's nothing short of a blessing and all thanks to God.
01:54Of course, I've been getting a lot of kind and really just blessed messages, you know,
02:01comparing me to some really great actors, number one.
02:04Besides that, you know, they're saying that, you know, we're so glad that after 14 years
02:08of hard work and persistence and patience, your hard work is finally paying off and we're
02:12here to support you.
02:17There's two ways.
02:18There's number one is that you want to become a star, right?
02:22Number two is that you actually love the craft of acting.
02:25So whoever loves the craft of acting, it doesn't matter where you reach as long as you keep
02:31acting, right?
02:33And acting in its totality is not just about the craft.
02:39Again, one part of it is the craft, but the rest of it is about how you handle yourself,
02:44how you talk to people, how you interact with people, how you build your network, how
02:49much hard work you're not only willing to put in your acting, but besides that, such
02:53as our industry demands dance, demands you to do action, demands a lot of things from
02:58you.
02:59So are you willing to go through the pain?
03:00You know, that's number one that people need to ask themselves, right?
03:03I've heard of people coming in for a year, two years, and they're like, oh, it didn't
03:07happen.
03:08Now I need to go back.
03:09It doesn't work that way.
03:10You know, there can't be a plan B.
03:13There cannot be a plan B. If you have a plan B, you are 100% setting yourself up for failure,
03:19all right?
03:20There's only plan A. That's number one.
03:22Besides that, I would like to say the 14-year journey has been tremendously difficult, all
03:28right?
03:29And as far as getting auditions are concerned, I believe from that movie Guru, where Abhishek
03:36Bachchan had said the line, he said that where I need to bend, I'll bend, where I need to
03:40beg, I'll beg, and where I need to break the door, I'll break the door, but all I need
03:43to do is get inside, you know?
03:45So you have to have that kind of mentality, and you really need to really give up and
03:50sacrifice everything, all the glamour which is around it.
03:54You know, if you really want to become something, you can't be thinking of, I want to go out,
03:58I want to meet this boy, I want to meet this girl, I want to go out for a cafe, I want
04:03to chill out.
04:04There's no chilling out, you know?
04:06Give up all of that, you know, and then you might become something.
