00:22Today marks an important milestone for our graduating class, this isn't just another

00:36This is a day to celebrate who you are and who you could be in the future.
00:42So soak in the glory, allow the happiness to sink in and relive the wonderful memories

00:49The never ending walks on the infinity corridor, the late night CAC sessions at the hostel,
00:56the unmissable Y point which serves as a point of metaphorical confluence for IITians, the
01:02joy when an exam is cancelled or should I say charched, am I getting it right?
01:10And of course the trademark IIT Bombay slanguage that I am told is such an inseparable part
01:16of campus culture.

01:48Clearly, clearly all of you who are graduating today have had no such difficulty in finding
01:53the Bahaar jaane ka rasta.
01:55It's wonderful to be here at IITB.
01:58I recall visiting this campus in the mid-90s for a pre-placement talk.
02:04Much has changed since then, some of it exponentially.
02:08I am told that IIT Bombay's student population is now four times bigger.
02:12The Indian economy itself is six times bigger and the Aditya Birla group is 25 times what
02:19it was when I came here last.
02:21This campus is known to us to be an engine of ideas.
02:25I guess we saw that soon after the outbreak of the pandemic as IIT Bombay broke new ground
02:32with the first ever VR convocation.
02:36An important phase of your life, the graduating class is behind you.
02:40This glorious phase has been defined by three hallmark traits, a strong academic record,
02:46all-around skills that go beyond the classroom and the great hunger to succeed.
02:51A beautiful mind needs only one more thing, which is a big heart.
02:57And so with a beautiful mind and a big heart, I look forward to seeing you embrace the world.
