00:00Mary Jane Veloso will be given a chance to choose where she will be detained when she returns to the Philippines.
00:08According to the Bureau of Corrections Chief Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr.,
00:13if not in the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong City,
00:17she can be detained in Palawan or in Davao City.
00:21Even if Veloso chooses CIW, she will be placed in a minimum security compound.
00:28Catapang was assured that she will not be involved in the drug syndicates that are held here.
00:33Catapang was determined to prioritize Veloso's safety when she is detained here in the Philippines.
00:42She will be assessed on her status, whether she has a medical problem or whatever.
00:49And then on her rehabilitation or reformation,
00:54if she has served her sentence, what reformation programs she will do that she wants.
01:02And then of course, there is a reintegration program.
01:05We will also train her in TESDA so that when she is released,
01:09she will have the skill to return back to normal life.
