00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is grateful for the recent administration of Indonesia

00:08as well as for the action in the case of our countryman, Mary Jane Veloso.

00:14According to the President, they have been working on this for a long time,

00:17particularly the removal of Veloso from the death row and the suspension of his sentence.

00:24He is also responsible for improving the relationship between the Philippines and Indonesia

00:31under these two administrations.

00:34It is also important that Veloso is allowed to return home after more than a decade.

00:47It is good that our relations with Indonesia, our relations with then President Pidodo

00:53and all of these people, together with our relations now with the new President, President Prabowo,

00:59because our relations are good, they found a way. This is the first time they did this.

01:06They found a way so that, as they said, they have no interest in imprisoning,

01:12they have no interest in executing Mary Jane Veloso.

01:21But they said, let's find a way, and they did it for us.

01:26So we should be very grateful to Indonesia,

01:30we should be very grateful to the last President and the present President,

01:37President Pidodo, President Prabowo now,

01:40because if not for their cooperation, we would not have been able to do this.
