00:00The opening of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension is a great relief to the public.

00:04The journey is fast-paced and the commuters can still save on the fare.

00:09The details in the national news of Bernard Ferrer from PTV Manila.

00:15Pao's journey took more than 2 hours from Cavite to her school in Taft, Manila.

00:20So the opening of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 is a great help to her.

00:25It's very easy and fast because I'm from Cavite.

00:30So it's only 30 minutes and I don't have to be late for school.

00:35She can save P50 from the previous P100 for her massage.

00:40Jaren's car was also reduced because of her journey from Quezon City to PITX in Pariñaque.

00:47From Quezon City to Fifth Avenue.

00:50And then Fifth Avenue LRT Station until EDSA Taft.

00:55Then by carousel to PITX.

00:58But now, it's just Egypt until Fifth Avenue LRT Station.

01:03Then it's up to here.

01:05They hope that the LRT-1 Cavite Extension will be completed so that their journey will be faster.

01:11The LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 is the first railway project

01:15to be completed under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.

01:19through the Public-Private Partnership or PPP.

01:22There are five new stations that are included in the Redemptorist Asiana Station,

01:26Mia Road Station, PITX Station, Ninoy Aquino Avenue Station, and Dr. Santos Station.

01:34Tomorrow, we expect a faster journey from Quezon City to Pariñaque,

01:40and vice versa, in less than an hour.

01:42Phase 1 connects from Baclaran Station to Dr. Santos Station in Pariñaque.

01:4780,000 passengers will benefit from this.

01:50In total, the LRT-1 will cover 26 kilometers.

01:55In 1984, President Ferdinand E. Marquez Jr. rented the LRT-1 UN Avenue Station from Baclaran Station.

02:03Aside from the LRT-1 Cavite Extension,

02:05the government is currently working on another railway project.

02:09This includes the Unified Grand Central Station, Metro Manila Subway Project,

02:13MRT-7, and North-South Commuter Railway.
