A man in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province had a close escape from a roaming Siberian tiger. The tiger was captured rushing past the gate of the man’s home.

The gate stopped the tiger’s attempt to pray and saved the man from a deadly attack.

Local authorities later arrived in the village, trying to trace the tiger. The event was among the most discussed topics on social media for a whole day, with many saying a wild tiger had not been seen for decades in a village.
