00:00A leadership guided by faith is one that will never stray from the universal teachings of what is needed for the common good.

00:08This is something the president is well aware of and has anchored his style of governance on,

00:14which he believes will give him wisdom in steering the country towards the right path.

00:18Again, PTV's Claisel Bardilla enlightens us further with this report.

00:24Leadership without faith is a ship without a compass.

00:30It will sail, but it will drift.

00:33True leadership, the kind that transforms people's lives for the better,

00:39is guided by wisdom and is rooted in faith and in God.

00:45President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized the importance of faith-driven leadership,

00:51a message he delivered during the 49th Philippine National Prayer Breakfast,

00:55a gathering of government officials and representatives from various business and religious sectors.

01:01The event focused on seeking divine guidance for the nation's leaders,

01:06enabling them to govern with strength, integrity, and a heartfelt dedication to the country.

01:12President Marcos Jr. underscored the significance of unity amid challenges,

01:17particularly in light of the recent devastation caused by six consecutive typhoons.

01:22He called on leaders to set aside differences in beliefs and culture to work together for the nation's welfare.

01:29Considering the challenges that our fellow Filipinos have been facing since October 21,

01:35when severe tropical storm Christine entered our area,

01:40and until today as typhoon Pepito crosses our archipelago,

01:45our collective faith and prayer to the Almighty is the most powerful tool that we have

01:51to weather these storms and the destruction that they bring.

01:56Prayers were offered for the President, First Lady Liz Araneta Marcos,

02:00and other national leaders with a call for collective prayer extended to the public.

02:05When I pray, I only do two things in my prayers.

02:09I thank God for the blessings that we have already received,

02:13and I pray that He continues to bless me with wisdom, with compassion,

02:20and with the love of our country that will be forever undying.

02:26Beyond the event at Malacanang, simultaneous prayer sessions were conducted in over a hundred locations worldwide,

02:33reflecting a shared hope for the country's resilience and progress.
