00:00The President has visited the Bicol region twice to spearhead relief distribution,

00:05inspect the devastation, provide comfort to the hard-hit victims, among others.

00:09Besides the 24 18-wheeler trucks that took off today from the lower house,

00:14headed to Bicol and laden with food and relief supplies, a mini Bagong Serbisyo Fair is all set

00:20for its visit to the region as we hear more from PTV's Bela Lesmora.

00:25From Batasang, Pambansa, 24 trucks of relief goods are now heading to Bicol region for

00:32distribution to those affected by the streak of recent typhoons that hit the country,

00:37including Catanduanes. This is part of the Tabang Bicol-Tindog-Oragon relief caravan

00:43launched by the House of Representatives in partnership with the DSWD and Malacanang.

00:48According to House Speaker Martin Romualdez, this initiative is in response to the directive

00:53of President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. to assist the victims of calamities in Bicol

00:58and other parts of the country. Over 150,000 beneficiaries are expected to receive the

01:04relief packages and close to three-quarters of a billion or P750 million worth of financial

01:10assistance is up for distribution in the region.

01:23On November 21, the government is all set to launch a mini Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair

01:48in the Bicol Provinces.
