00:00A 32-year-old trailer driver died after his vehicle collided with another trailer, slid

00:07100 metres and crashed into a house along kilometre 47 of the Ipoh-Lumut Road around

00:1311.15pm on Saturday.

00:16Perak Tengah OCPD Superintendent Hafizul Helmi Hamza said the driver, transporting cement

00:22from Sri Iskandar to Gelongpepuyu, lost control and hit a stationary trailer carrying recycled

00:28paper, which then struck a parked car.

00:31The cement-laden trailer slid further, crashing into a house garage.

00:36Superintendent Hafizul noted that the road was wet and weather conditions clear, but

00:41the area lacked streetlights and CCTV.

00:44The driver sustained fatal injuries, with a post-mortem confirming polytrauma as the

00:49cause of death.

00:51The case is under investigation for reckless driving under Section 41, Subsection 1 of

00:57the Road Transport Act 1987.
