00:00The typhoon Ophel continues to move near the landmass of northern Luzon.

00:08Earlier this morning, it was in the part of the Isabela Sea.

00:13The wind speed was 185 km per hour and it reached 230 km per hour.

00:22It is currently moving west-northwestward at a speed of 15 km per hour.

00:28It is expected to landfall in the northern part of Luzon today.

00:33Because of this, signal number 5 is high in the northeastern portion of mainland Cagayan.

00:39Signal number 4 is in the southeastern portion of Babuyan Islands,

00:44northern and eastern portion of mainland Cagayan, and northeastern portion of Isabela.

00:51Signal number 3 is high in the southern part of Babuyan Islands and Cagayan,

00:56northern part of Isabela, northern portion of Apayau, and Ilocos Norte.

01:02Signal number 2 is high in Batanes, western and southern portion of Isabela,

01:08northeastern portion of Quirino, the rest of Apayau, Calinga, and northeastern portion of Abra.

01:14Also, in the eastern portion of Mountain Province,

01:17Ifugao, southern part of Ilocos Norte, and northern portion of Aurora.

01:23While signal number 1 is in the southern part of Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya,

01:29Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, northern portion of Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Aurora.

01:36There is a chance of a storm surge that could reach 1 to 3 meters in the next 48 hours

01:43in the low-lying areas of localities of Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cagayan,

01:50Isabela, and northern Aurora.

01:53Meanwhile, there is an update on another storm that is outside of PAR

01:57and has an international name of Man-Yi, according to the forecast.

02:01It is possible that it will enter PAR today and will be named as Bagyong Pipito.

02:06Because of the two storms, intense rainfall is expected in Cagayan and Isabela

02:12while heavy to intense rainfall is expected in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayau,

02:18Mountain Province, Quirino, Aurora, and Calinga.

02:21Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Abra, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya.

02:28The public is advised to remain updated and to be careful.
