00:12Authorities have been waiting for the situation of Buntun Bridge in Tuguegarao City
00:18after the water level reached a critical level due to the heavy rain brought by the Nica typhoon.
00:24Although the typhoon left on Tuesday afternoon,
00:28authorities continue to distribute aid to the residents,
00:32especially as many houses in low-lying areas were flooded.
00:36At the request of Radio Pilipinas,
00:38Police Regional Office 2 spokesperson Major Sharon Malilin
00:43said that they are ready to help the residents in the event of another typhoon.
00:49We are watching the flooded areas.
00:52There are areas where there is a flash flood
00:56because of the opening of Magat Dam
00:59and the continuous pouring of rain.
01:04Our PNP personnel are at the evacuation centers
01:07to check or to provide our public safety
01:11to our evacuation centers.
01:14Mayor Mila Tinky of Tuguegarao City is very grateful
01:19to the Philippine Red Cross for not only providing food,
01:23but also psychosocial support to more than 400 families
01:28who were evacuated to North Caritan.
01:30The Red Cross has psychosocial support,
01:33first aid, child-friendly space, activities for the children,
01:37and then our first aid stations, plus our hot meals on wheels.
01:43The children are currently at the evacuation center
01:48to alleviate the fear from the effects of the typhoon.
