00:05for signing Administrative Order No. 26, which provides a one-time rice grant to all military
00:12and uniformed personnel, or MUPs. The order grants each active MUP 25 kilograms of rice.
00:19This initiative, recommended by the DBM and the Department of Agriculture, is aimed at supporting
00:25MUPs in light of socioeconomic challenges while also benefiting local farmers. The rice will be
00:31distributed from December to March 2025, sourced from farmers through the Kadiwa Program. This will
00:38cover MUPs from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire
00:42Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penalty, and other related agencies. Funding will come from
00:49the 2024 Contingent Fund, and the order takes effect immediately after publication.
