00:00Hey guys, I'm Chuck Adams. I'm a JP Catholic right now, studying media

00:03communications with an emphasis in production. I'm currently the director on

00:07Brussels Sprouts. So what is Brussels Sprouts? What is this story? Brussels

00:13Sprouts is about an empathetic mother who tries to turn around her obstinate

00:17husband in order to rebuild the broken ties of a marriage. It gets into that

00:21chaos which no family is normal, no family is perfect. It gets into that and

00:26talks about how through imperfection we can really in a sense find that harmony,

00:31find that grace note, and find what it means to become perfect. We had a few

00:36kind of inspirations on this film. Lady Bird, mid-90s. I'm a huge fan of Terrence

00:42Malick, so A Hidden Life was another film that just really resonated with me that

00:47also focuses on family. I think if you could describe who I am as an artist in

00:53one word it would be the word flight. And the reason why it's flight is

00:57because anything I make ultimately I want the people watching it to just in

01:01a sense be like they've transcended. And I know the way to do that is simply

01:06through the true, the good, and the beautiful.
