00:16Number 10, Solo Leveling

00:24Since the day this adaptation was announced, fans of the Korean webtoon never stopped hyping

00:29it up, and I guess we should have believed them. Solo Leveling is the ultimate power

00:34fantasy, but somehow that isn't a detriment, as it takes the concept of a bland fella becoming

00:40overpowered and crafts an actually compelling narrative. Jinnu's second chance at life

01:01after being mercilessly chopped down is full of horrifying creatures, even worse humans,

01:07and challenges we still can't believe he got past. Needless to say, we are eagerly

01:12waiting for our cue to arise when Season 2 drops.

01:21Number 9, Brave Bang Bravern

01:33We live in an age where we seldom see brand new mecha anime series. Bravern not only scratches

01:39that itch, but also made a name for itself among the titans of the genre, just not in

01:45the most conventional way. Easily the most hilarious anime series of the year, we see

02:03the hapless Isami get in the cockpit of this absurd, sentient mecha. Though he may not

02:09want to, he's now the only hope humanity has left, as well as the apple of Bravern's

02:15eye. Packed to the brim with hysterical references and radical mecha action, Bravern is the perfect

02:21first quencher for the mecha anime drought we're facing.

02:34Number 8, Mashoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2

02:44Is there any surprise this one cracked the list when it's a constant mainstay on our

02:49best isekai and fantasy videos? After all the drama that happened in the academy, Rudeus

02:54must once again venture out after receiving a letter from his father requesting help.

03:10In order to rescue his beloved teacher Roxy after she was separated from Paul's party,

03:16he must enter a deadly dungeon. But word is, that's also where his mother was last sighted.

03:22If you've seen Mashoku's previous seasons, then you know this one brings the laughs,

03:27tears, and slick combat. And if you haven't, what the hell are you waiting for? Hop on

03:32already.

03:37Number 7, Look Back

03:44In just one hour, Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto was able to present something so

03:50profound that it will linger in your heart for years to come. Look Back is a deeply personal

03:55film which speaks volumes to any artist who has ever struggled with the idea of not being

04:00enough. While we can't get too deep into the specifics of this anime without spoiling

04:11it, be warned that it is an emotional gut punch which has of course very much become

04:16Fujimoto's trademark style. Its success, despite its tight runtime, could very well

04:21usher in a new era of short-form anime movies, and we welcome that idea with open arms.

04:34Number 6, ReZero Starting Life in Another World Season 3

04:45ReZero's second season was admittedly a bit of a mixed bag. It introduced some great

04:51characters and dropped some compelling lore, but it was a little slow and confusing compared

04:57to its previous entry. So, when season 3 dropped with an hour and a half first episode, we

05:03were a little hesitant, but my god was it worth it. ReZero has undoubtedly returned

05:10to form with a season that has dialed up the action and drama to an astounding degree.

05:22Subaru and the gang shift locations to a city surrounded by water, and as tranquil as that

05:27might sound, it is not. They're having to contend with the absurdly powerful Sin Archbishops

05:34of the Witches' Cult, who have taken the city hostage until the witches' remains

05:39are surrendered. This here is what Peak Isekai looks like.

05:48Number 5, Dandodan Where on earth do we start with this one?

05:58Dandodan is truly something else. When a girl who believes in ghosts butts heads with a

06:03boy who believes in aliens, an unlikely friendship is formed. But it doesn't exactly lead these

06:09two to the safest of places. Dandodan sees the two get into all sorts of terrifying trouble,

06:15from facing off with sumo-stomping Martians to clashing with a pecker-pinching grandma

06:20yokai. Yes, it is as bizarre as it sounds, but it's got enough heart and soul to not

06:33come across as the try-hard, lol-random type of humour. And we'd be remiss not to mention

06:38anime's new top-ranking gilf, Seiko. Good lord.

06:50Number 4, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom

06:56Almost 20 years after its last instalment concluded, Gundam SEED has finally returned

07:01and it honestly feels like it never left. Freedom is the most unapologetic crowd-pleaser

07:07of a movie, and in an age of media trying to rug-pull or subvert its audience's expectations,

07:14that is such a welcome surprise. Hiroyamato's life is once again turned upside down when

07:20Lackus is kidnapped by the Foundation, who have very devious intentions. Sounds simple,

07:26and it is. But it just works so damn well. The mecha action is genuinely some of the

07:39best in the Gundam franchise, and being reacquainted with all your favourite characters again is

07:44an absolute treat. If you had the opportunity to watch it in cinemas, among other Gundam

07:49diehards, you likely had the time of your life.

07:57Number 3, Delicious in Dungeon

08:03How on earth do you take the premise of eating monsters in a dungeon, and somehow weave a

08:08story that gripped the entire anime community? Well, just ask this game-changing series.

08:15Shinmeshi's cast of Marseille, Leos, Senshi, and Chilchuk must brave the lunatic magician's

08:21demonic structure in order to save their party member before she is unceremoniously digested

08:26by the wicked dragon. Since they lost all their moolah in the previous scuffle, they

08:31have to make do with surviving off the creatures that dwell within, oftentimes with mouth-watering

08:37results. But it's not all about the food. Delicious in Dungeon is a strongly written

08:51fantasy in spite of its gimmick. Trust me when I say there is a good reason why Dungeon

08:56Meshi was the most cosplayed thing at every convention I went to this summer.

09:21Ever since returning in 2022, bleach has been an absolute force of nature in the anime world.

09:27While we thought we had reached its peak, somehow Season 3 has reached even greater

09:32heights. Following on from last season, which saw a dazzling display from the Royal Guard,

09:38Ichigo faces his most dramatic struggle to date when he takes on his former ally, Uryuu

09:48Ichigo. Couple that with the fact that we finally got to see the return of everyone's

09:59favourite scoundrel, Aizen, and you have a season of bleach that is the total package.

10:10Before we get to our number one pick, here's an egregious amount of honourable mentions.

10:15Dragon Ball Daima. It's not the Moro arc that we wanted, but it's still fun as hell.

10:24The Dangers in My Heart Season 2. One of the greatest romance of the modern anime scene.

10:39Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc. While many have said this is the weakest

10:45entry in the series so far, Demon Slayer never truly disappoints.

10:54Konosuba God's Blessing on This Wonderful World 3. Kazuma is up to his old dirty tricks,

11:00and we can't look away.

11:11Classroom of the Elite 3. The mind games continue in another awesome instalment.

11:30My Hero Academia Season 7. The Great War is underway, and we've only scratched the surface.

11:42One Piece Fan Letter. A short story that really captures the spirit of One Piece, and will

11:47likely have you tearing up.

12:18Oshinoko Season 2. The first season of Oshinoko sent shockwaves through the anime world as

12:33it explored the dark side of the entertainment industry in Japan. But they were just getting

12:38started.

12:39Mako's quest for revenge against the man who caused the death of his mother and idol

12:43continues in this season, which focuses on his time working on a stage production. Sounds

12:49pretty bleak on paper, but the execution of this arc was absolutely masterful. Somehow

12:55the folks at Dogakobo were able to convince us that we were sat inside that theatre watching

13:00the play in real life. That's to say nothing of the bombshells drop between and after the

13:10actual performance. We still get chills just thinking about some of them and we are chomping

13:15at the bit for more to drop in 2025.
