Harris vows to 'turn the page' on divisive politics, Trump confident of election win

With less than 24 hours until election day, Harris and Trump spent Sunday focussed on swing states with Harris campaigning in Michigan and Trump hosting rallies in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia.

00:06less than 24 hours to go until polling day on Tuesday.

00:10Both Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump held campaign events in key swing

00:15states, battleground areas widely expected to decide the outcome of the election.

00:20In Michigan, Harris vowed to turn the page on a decade of politics driven by fear and

00:25division.

00:26She described Tuesday as one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime and expressed confidence

00:32that she would win the race for the White House.

00:52Trump meanwhile spoke confidently of an election victory at his rally in North Carolina.

01:09Poll trackers however suggest that Trump and Harris remain neck and neck in North Carolina

01:13as well as in six other swing states.

01:16At a rally earlier in the day in Pennsylvania, Trump resorted to familiar unsubstantiated

01:21claims of vote rigging, claiming that fraud was already underway in the state.

01:26With less than 24 hours to go until election day, the race remains tight.

01:31But over the past few days, the mood has been shifting in favor of Kamala Harris.

01:35And here's why.

01:37Late deciders seem to be breaking in her favor and a stunning poll from Iowa with her in

01:42the lead seems to be suggesting that she's a stronger force in the Midwest than expected.

01:48The main reason for the late mood swing though is her Republican opponent.

01:52Donald Trump's rhetoric has become increasingly erratic and violent, going after his political

01:57opponents with a vulgarity that is noticeable even by his standards.

02:02For the Harris campaign, that's a gift that keeps on giving, an advent calendar of insults

02:07of women in particular.

02:10And you can feel that voters are noticing, at last.

02:14With one more day of campaigning to go, we might be in for a surprise outcome.
