00:08Port del Curia, at the end of the second round in the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final, supported

00:17by the R&A. There's been a lot of bad weather in Spain this week, with bad flooding of course,

00:27leading to lots of lives being lost in Valencia. Today, the Balearics were set to be hit by

00:39more bad weather, that resulted in the tee times being moved forward and a two-tee start

00:46being implemented. However, the majority of the players got round in decent weather before

00:56the first flash of lightning in the area led to a suspension of play around about 20 past one.

01:04There was then a two-hour delay with a bit of rain and some more thunder and lightning before

01:10play resumed a couple of hours later, and the opening two rounds have indeed been completed

01:18on schedule. Out in front at the halfway stage is a young Spaniard, Angel Ayora. He opened

01:27with a course record 10 under par 62, and producing another impressive performance.

01:36He added a 65 to lead on 17 under, holding a two-shot lead over Norwegian Christopher

01:45Wrightan. The two Scots in the field are Perth man Daniel Young and Ayrshire man Ewan Walker.

01:54Young, who is making his debut in this event, he's opened with two 69s. Good efforts to sit on

02:03six under par, which is just outside the top 10. Walker, he struggled a little bit by his own admission.

02:13He followed an opening 69 with a 72 today, which means that in the projected road to Malorca

02:21rankings, Angel Ayora, if he stays where he is at the moment, he's going to top the standings,

02:28the season standings. Young, meanwhile, was in 27th at the start of the week, needing to get

02:36into the top 22. He's up one spot, and Walker remains in 24th position. Two rounds to go,

02:46lots of golf to be played, there'll no doubt be lots of drama. This is always a great event.
