00:00Meanwhile, the Asian Development Bank or ADB will support the Philippines and other member

00:05countries in preparing for droughts and floods due to the severe impacts of climate change

00:10felt by nine out of ten Filipinos.

00:13Over the next six years, the ADB plans to invest in upgrading irrigation systems and

00:18developing climate-resilient infrastructure to enhance rural development and food security.

00:23They will also improve flood and drought preparedness through early warning systems and disaster

00:29risk reduction training.

00:30A recent report indicates that climate change effects in the Asia-Pacific region will worsen,

00:36leading to more intense weather events and significant economic losses.
