00:00Concerned government agencies are making all the necessary adjustments to not to only respond
00:06to the devastation caused by severe tropical storm Christine, but also to address the needs
00:12of Filipinos affected by Super Typhoon Leon.
00:15The Department of Agriculture reported Christine caused over 3 billion pesos in damages but
00:21warned this figure might go up, that's why it is making sure there is enough food supply
00:27and is monitoring food prices.
00:29Affected farmers and fisherfolk can avail of the allotted 1 billion peso quick response
00:36fund for their production input.
00:38The Office of Civil Defense assured the continuous delivery of aid for those affected by the
00:44weather disturbance.
00:45The Armed Forces of the Philippines, on the other hand, is on standby to be able to deliver
00:50additional family food packs using its military assets.
00:55Before, when we did the response in Batanes, this was during the Typhoon Julian, we have
01:00a strong 14,000 preposition goods, that's why this was used, but the plan then was to
01:07replenish it.
01:08Unfortunately, Christine entered.
01:10Right now, we already have 5,500 family food packs in a PCG vessel, but Batanes is not
01:19able to direct it now, it is currently in Pangasinan.
01:23Batanes, the cloud ceiling closes early, so over and above, there are weather conditions
01:32that we have to look into.
01:33As soon as it is deemed as flyable, it is ready.
