00:02This is what President Ferdinand R. Martos Jr. promised

00:05in front of the final battle of his administration against starvation.

00:09The President announced the strengthening of the Joint Memorandum Circular

00:15for the final assistance against starvation and poverty.

00:19Under this, more than 30 government agencies and international organizations

00:26including the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Agrarian Reform, and the TSMLED

00:32will also strengthen the capacity of farmers and fishermen to provide credit and insurance.

00:39Community-based organizations such as agricultural cooperatives will also be brought closer

00:45to government feeding centers and they will also look for a market to sell their products.

00:53Through this, we can improve farm productivity, link farmers, fisherfolk, other food producers

01:00to larger markets, provide secure income, ensuring that our children, our mothers,

01:06our most vulnerable have access to nutritious food.

01:10This year, we directed all government agencies and encouraged all local government units

01:15to support its implementation to bolster our efforts toward zero hunger, food and nutrition

01:21security, and sustainable agriculture.
