00:00A prestigious awards ceremony is coming to Glasgow for the first time next year
00:04to celebrate the best of food and drinks across the UK and Ireland.
00:07The Michelin Guide will host its 2025 ceremony in Kelvin Grove Art Gallery and Museum
00:12on Monday the 10th of February.
00:14Local chef Gary Townsend, who owns Elements in Bearsden,
00:17said the news was fantastic as the Michelin is undoubtedly the godfather of food accolades
00:22and Glasgow's food scene right now is as electric as it is eclectic.
00:26At the ceremony, which is an annual event that takes place in a different select city each year,
00:30new Michelin stars and special awards will be unveiled.
00:33Glasgow currently has two Michelin star restaurants,
00:35Unilon by Graham Cheever's and Kalebrook.
00:38A number of others have also been mentioned in the guide including Brett,
00:42Celentano's, Ox & Finch, The Gannet and Shucks.
00:45The ceremony will be broadcast over the Michelin Guide's YouTube channel,
00:49accessible to anyone who wishes to watch,
00:51while the event will be followed by a cocktail after party at the Old Fruit Market.
