The Arrival of Birds
Approximately 150 million years ago, Allah introduced a new group of flying creatures: birds. Unlike Pterosaurs, birds have thrived until the present day, a testament to Allah's will. During the Jurassic period, some dinosaurs developed feathers for insulation, which Allah later refined into modern birds. Fossils from Liaoning, China, reveal evidence of feathered dinosaurs like Beipiaosaurus and Caudipteryx, illustrating the primitive and advanced feather structures that Allah created. Initially serving purposes like insulation and display, these feathers eventually facilitated flight, marking a pivotal evolutionary step in the avian journey. The aerodynamic design of feathers enhances lift and maneuverability, showcasing the Creator's wisdom in enabling birds to soar through the skies.
"Do they not see the birds flying in the midst of the sky? None sustains them except Allah. In this are signs for people who believe." (Surah An-Nahl 16:79)
"In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, are signs for people of understanding." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:190)
